Three people were arrested in Larnaca on Tuesday after they were linked to the discovery of three unregistered guns and several bullets in a house.

Members of the crime prevention unit stopped a car for a search in parking lot in Larnaca at around 1am and found 32 packets of cocaine weighing a combined total of 10g.

The 27-year-old driver and the 23-year-old passenger were arrested and, upon a more thorough search of the vehicle, members of the Ykan drug squad also found 14 gun cartridge cases in a nylon bag.

The two men were immediately taken in for questioning. Shortly after, officers searched their house and found the three illegal guns, along with several other cartridges and bullets.

One of the two man arrested admitted to have shot rounds in an isolated area of Larnaca on Monday. Police also arrested a 17-yer-old woman at the house. She allegedly helped the two man stash the illegal guns.
