Ukrainian refugees to be offered free Greek lessons

Free Greek lesson will be offered to Ukrainian nationals who have fled to Cyprus, the ministry of education announced on Wednesday.

The lessons during June and July have been planned by the ministry’s afternoon lessons service (ΚΙΕ).

The project is co-financed by The Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund. Under the programme, Ukrainian refugees are exempt from tuition fees as well as registration of €10.

The courses will be held in one school per district with separate groups for children and adults. There will be three lessons a week, each lasting 45 minutes.

The document from the government validating refugees from Ukraine is needed to register.
