A 37-year-old man who was in critical condition after being injured in a road collision while driving a motorcycle in Paphos on Saturday, died on Sunday, police said.

The accident happened on Chlorakas Avenue around 10.15pm on Saturday night when the motorcycle driven by Karim Mezdari, a French national, collided with a car driven by a 38-year-old.

A 30-year-old woman was also a passenger on the motorbike. She remains in critical condition and is currently intubated at Nicosia general hospital, where she was transported after being admitted in Paphos hospital first.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
