University of Cyprus makes it onto top universities list

The University of Cyprus has been ranked 473rd in the QS World University Rankings, maintaining its position among the top universities worldwide for a third consecutive year.

According to the university, QS World University Rankings is published annually and it is considered one of the three most acknowledged lists for university rankings, along with Academic Ranking of World Universities and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

A total of 1,450 universities are included in the QS World University Rankings and this year 2,500 universities from 100 countries were assessed.

QS rankings take into consideration the scientific publications related to research activities by professors and researchers of the assessed institutions. Each university’s international reputation in the job market is also taken into account.

The University of Cyprus is the only university on the island included in the QS World University Rankings published June 8, the press release added.
