Weekend clinics slated to start on July 9

Weekend clinics across the island should start operating on July 9, once any outstanding issues raised during recent meetings are resolved, the health ministry said on Thursday.

The announcement came after a meeting on Thursday with stakeholders.

The statement added that more information on the integrated planning process and on-call model will be released in the coming days.

“All stakeholders recognise that public hospitals are the backbone of the health system and therefore the launch of the on-call system will start from the infrastructure of Okypy, seeing as it is the largest health care provider in Cyprus,” the statement concludes.
