Νομική Υπηρεσία της Δημοκρατίας –

The increase in levels of sexual abuse and exploitation of children in recent years is alarming, the deputy Attorney General Savvas Angelides said on Wednesday.

He was speaking at a seminar organised in Nicosia by the Legal Service, in cooperation with the Council for the implementation of the National Strategy for combating the Sexual Abuse and exploitation of children and NGO Voice.

The seminar was held with a view of achieving the common goal of protecting children, Angelides said.

The purpose of the seminar was to train those in the Legal Service in better presentation of the most serious cases related to offences of sexual abuse and exploitation against children.
