Two arrests for laughing gas

Two people both aged 20 were arrested early on Thursday morning in Ayia Napa for illegal possession and use of nitrous oxide (laughing gas), police said.

According to the police, two young men were spotted in Ayia Napa inhaling from a balloon, which contained laughing gas.

Police found on one of them 12 unused and one used nitrous oxide capsules and a device for using capsules, which were confiscated.

On the second person found 15 unused capsules, two balloons and a capsule use device, which were confiscated.

Both of them were questioned and subsequently released to be summoned before a court at a later stage.
