Three arrested after thefts reported from private school

Three suspects, aged 40, 36 and 35, were arrested in connection with cases of burglary, theft, and illegal possession of property in Paphos on Sunday, police said on Monday.

According to the police, on May 8, 9 and 26, a 69-year-old private school caretaker reported that a total of 18 classrooms were broken into and some things, such as copper wires, copper pipes and photovoltaic batteries, were stolen from them.

On Sunday morning, after receiving information that the 40-year-old was involved police went to search his house, where they also found the other two men.

They also found accumulators, copper pipes and cables.

After further examinations showed that the stolen property came from the private school.
