Weather forecast: Mostly sunny, temperatures rise to 39C

The temperature is forecasted to hit 39C in the interior but a much cooler 29C is expected on the west coast, and 28C in the mountains – although the south, east and north coasts are set for 34C.

Today the weather will be mostly sunny, although there will be temporarily increased clouds in the mountains at noon and in the afternoon. Winds will be initially variable and light to moderate.

Tonight the temperature will drop to 23C inland and on the coasts, while the mountains are set for a pleasant 19C, according to the meteorological office’s morning report.

It further stated that the weather is not expected to change much until Saturday, remaining slightly above the seasonal average.
