Sia forest fire under full control

A forest fire in the village of Sia was brought under full control after it burned a small area of dry grass, the Forestry Department said Tuesday.
According to the statement, the fire broke out around 6.30 p.m. near the community of Sia. It was brought under full control at 6.45 p.m. after burning a small area of dry grass, it said.
Sixteen members of the Forestry Department with six fire engines and three firefighters from the Fire Service with one fire engine were involved in the extinguishing operation, the statement said.
The exact cause of the fire is being investigated, the statement added.
