Music scene comes alive

acoustic

The summer music scene is at an all-time high as festivals feature local and international acts and music venues have a steady set of live performances. This July and August, the musicians of the island have evenings filled with gigs and shows.

Sunday has numerous live music performances planned across the country. In Limassol, a collection of musicians called the Mahina Live Band will present favourite funky, soul, pop and jazz songs at Mason Bar at 9pm. Also happening in Limassol this Sunday is a summery outdoor live jazz session at Vinylio Wine Etc. Singer Alice Ayvazian and pianist Dimitris Miaris will perform beloved jazz classics from 8.30pm for a nostalgic end to the week.

A Nicosia bar will also welcome two musicians to its floor for an acoustic performance. Kapatais and Amerikanos aim to bring a lively set to Evergreen Vegan & Vegetarian with rock and pop hit cover songs.

August in Limassol will arrive with jazz and soul notes as vocalist Erika Soteri prepares for a live performance at La Caleta – At the Icon. An evening of funk and jazz will kick off at 7.30pm to accompany seaside views and a hand-picked selection of wines and cocktails as a new month of events awaits!
