Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will visit Cyprus on Thursday.

He will attend the Meeting of the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions of Cyprus, who are currently in Cyprus, and give a speech. Cyprus and Greece have been in consultation about dealing with the aggressive behaviour of Turkey.

At 13:00 he will have a meeting with Cyprus counterpart, Ioannis Kasoulides, after which they will talk to the press.

The discussions between the two Ministers “will take place in the context of the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the two countries,” reported the Cyprus News Agency.

They are expected to focus on developments on the Cyprus problem – in view of the new UN Security Council Resolution on the renewal of UNFICYP’s mandate, that is scheduled to be approved Thursday – the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, EU issues and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Dendias will also pay a courtesy visit to Archbishop Chrysostomos II and is expected to be received by the President Nicos Anastasiades.

During his stay in Nicosia, Dendias will also hold separate meetings with the presidential candidates Averof Neophytou, Andreas Mavroyiannis and Nikos Christodoulides.
