Drink driver caught with suspended driving licence

A 48-year-old woman was arrested drink driving with a suspended licence in Paphos, police said on Friday.

Officers stopped the woman’s car for a check after she run a red light on Thursday afternoon.

The driver underwent an alcohol test which showed she was four times over the maximum alcohol limit, with a final reading of 92μg. The maximum permitted limit is 22μg.

Further examinations showed the woman’s driving licence had been suspended while the car’s MOT was expired.

The woman also had various outstanding fines.
