A British tourist was hospitalised on Wednesday after he was injured when he dived from a height in the Akamas sea.

According to the police, the 43-year-old swimmer hit the rocks in his attempt to dive into the sea to swim near the campsite in the Aphrodite baths area.

Port police and the ambulance service were rushed to the scene and carried the man out of the sea. He was then transferred to the hospital via ambulance.

Doctors said his condition is not life threatening.
