A fire on the car of a 46-year-old that broke out early Friday morning in Mesa Geitonia, Limassol appears to have been set maliciously, police said.

The fire spread to the car of her 49-year-old husband as well.

According to police, the fire was noticed at around 3.15am as the car was parked on the road outside its owner’s house.

The fire burned the car, worth €6,000, completely and caused isolated external damages on the second car.

Fire fighters arrived on scene and put out the blaze.

Subsequent investigation indicated a malicious act.

The 46-year-old said she has no differences with anyone and suspects no-one.
