Having maintained – and recently retained – the Michelin star at London’s award-winning Locanda Locatelli restaurant for 20 consecutive years, renowned Italian Chef Giorgio Locatelli, is crafting an epicurean delight in the coming week. Keeping his rendezvous once more at the luxurious, 5-star AMARA hotel’s Ristorante Locatelli, he will orchestrate a unique, two-day ‘Made in Italy’ gastronomy event over September 8-9.
As a true Italian who, above all, desires all Ristorante Locatelli’s patrons to have a good time, Chef Locatelli wants diners truly to savour their food, overwhelmed by the flavour and quality of superior ingredients. For this reason, the ‘Made in Italy’ set menu is intended to provoke applause, embued with the taste and Italian temperament of ‘convivialità’ – a feeling of ‘eating together’, and sharing the love of good food.
Each evening will begin with an aperitif at The Bar, accompanied by crafted cocktails – the ‘Rosa’ or ‘Giorgio’.
Thereafter, the ‘Made in Italy’ menu will feature calamaro alla griglia with chili and rocket, handmade tagliolini with black truffle, and tender beef with wild mushrooms or grilled sea bream as only Giorgio knows how to make it – with a wonderful external crust and juicy on the inside.
Finishing on a sweet note, the menu will culminate with stuffed handmade cannoli, a ricotta cheese mousse and pistachio ice cream – a worthy way to say goodnight a la Italiana!
