Kasoulides visiting France

Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides will be going on a working visit to Paris later in the day on Thursday, to meet with his French counterpart Catherine Colonna.

During his visit, Kasoulides will discuss bilateral relations, regional issues and sign an agreement for the evacuation to Cyprus of French citizens from countries neighbouring Cyprus.

According to an announcement from the ministry, Kasoulides and Colonna will evaluate bilateral relations and investigate deepening their cooperation in the fields of education, trade, energy, and security and defence.

Kasoulides will inform Colonna on the next steps in dealing with the Cyprus problem, and the two will exchange opinions on Ukraine, and issues in Lebanon, Syria and Libya.

After their meeting they will sign the agreement regarding the evacuation of French citizens.

Kasoulides will also meet with the French Deputy Minister for Europe, Laurence Boone.

The foreign minister will return to Cyprus on Saturday.
