Cyprus International Women of Today (CIWOT) is hosting its open house coffee morning later this month featuring a talk by the charity Cyprus Stop Trafficking. Taking place at Ibsen’s Café in central Limassol on Saturday, the event is an opportunity for women new to the island to mingle with like-minded local residents and find out more about how CIWOT can help them settle in.

The organisation has been active since 2009 and works to help the local community and in empowering women to become better leaders. Their events offer networking support connecting women in their communities and with their neighbours. The members volunteer to raise money or donate time to local charities, offer courses in personal growth, and organise social events to get to know each other better and try new things together.

At the core of their upcoming event will be the talk by a representative of Cyprus Stop Trafficking, one of the charities that CIWOT actively supports, and which works with the police and social services to tackle the issue of human trafficking. The talk will highlight the work done by volunteers regarding campaigning, offering direct assistance to victims and finding financial resources.
