In the framework of the annual military cooperation programme between Cyprus and Israel, the exercise ‘Iason – 2022’ was held this week, the defence ministry said.

The exercise took place within the flight information region FIR of Lefkosia, with the participation of land and air assets of the National Guard and the Israeli Defence Forces.

“The exercise is part of the bilateral defence cooperation programme and contributes to the increase of mutually beneficial operational capabilities, enhances interoperability and demonstrates, in practice, the excellent cooperation between our respective armed forces,” the defence ministry said.
