Just as September prepares to bid us farewell, two recitals by local musicians will entertain music lovers in Nicosia and Limassol. Arriving first is a soprano recital at Pallas Theatre on Saturday.

Two emerging young artists will take the stage, soprano Mariza Anastasiades and pianist Plotinos Micromatis. In a recital organised by Kyrenia Opera, the musicians will perform works by Ruperto Chapí, Claude Debussy, Jules Massenet, Theodore Spathis and Kurt Weill.

A few days later another musical concert will be held in Limassol. The Elias Beach Hotel collaborates with virtuoso pianist Tatiana Stupak to host a charity concert on Thursday, September 29. Tatiana, who will be playing on a limited edition Kayserburg crystal piano, will be accompanied by violinist Olivera Rialas, coloratura soprano Elena Soskova and soprano Ksenia Belolipetskaya, to carry audiences through a repertoire titled ‘Waves of Music’ on the beachfront of the hotel. A cocktail reception will precede the event, from 7pm to 7.30pm. All of the net proceeds of the event will be donated to the Mikroi Iroes charity.
