Following two years of successful, virtual running events, Alphamega Hypermarkets are organising the seventh edition of RUN AS ONE, the first post-pandemic event, which makes its triumphant in-person comeback next month. On October 23, therefore, the public is invited to join the run and enjoy fun activities, in a day dedicated to children’s health, life and wellness.

ALPHAMEGA RUN AS ONE 2022 will take place at the hypermarket chain’s Engomi store after two years of absence, and preparations are already under way to make this year’s event the best one yet, for everyone who wants to participate in Nicosia’s most fun running meet.

The much-awaited RUN AS ONE 2022 will include:

  • A Half Marathon 21K,
  • A Corporate Run 5K,
  • An Individual Run 5K,
  • A 1K Fun Run for children and parents,
  • An Individual Run 10K

Each year, ALPHAMEGA RUN AS ONE attracts thousands of participants who support, through their participation the hypermarket chain’s ‘Child, Nutrition & Health’ CSR programme. The aim of the event, organised in collaboration with the Cyprus Dietetic & Nutrition Association, is to promote the importance of healthy eating habits and regular exercise among parents and children.

During the pandemic, Alphamega organised two successful virtual running events, while spreading the message that efforts to protect children’s health are ongoing, under all conditions.

In order to turn goals into results, Alphamega puts all net revenues from event participation into the Child, Nutrition & Health CSR programme, so that children between nine and 12 years old can have a personalised nutrition plan, based on their individual needs, free of charge.
