The agriculture ministry said on Tuesday that they will be donating saplings from the forestry department to other public sector authorities as part of an initiative to deal with the effects of climate change.

According to the ministry, applications to receive the saplings will be open from September 26 until October 14 and can be submitted either physically or via email.

Authorities allowed to receive the saplings include municipal offices, public schools, government offices, churches, and other organisations and initiatives that have taken a plot of land for tree planting.

Applications can be found at the forestry department stations or online on the department’s website.
