A hunter trapped in a ravine, in the area of Stavrovouni, was rescued by members of Emak Kofinou, Cyprus’ search and rescue team on Sunday.

“Emak responded in an area of Stavrovouni to rescue a hunter who was trapped at 25 meters in a ravine 150 meters deep,” Fire brigade spokesman Andreas Kettis said in a Twitter post.

Rescuers used a special rescue harness to help the man, who is reported to be in good health.

The hunter was handed over to an ambulance crew for transfer to hospital for medical checks after the rescue operation.
