Applications for the 2023 bicommunal business awards can now be made, Sir Stelios Hadjioannou, the man behind the ‘easy’ brands and founder of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, announced on Tuesday.

The Stelios Bi-communal Business Cooperation Awards 2023 will offer a cash prize of €10,000 to each entrepreneur-member of the 10 winning, two-member teams – with the total prize money amounting to €200,000.

The 2023 awards will be the 13th time they are held in Cyprus, after being held for the first time in 2009. To date, the total value of the bi-communal cooperation awards amounts to €4,190,000.

According to Sir Stelios, when Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots cooperate in business peace can be hoped for. The awards, he said, are not aimed at solving the political problem of Cyprus but at “consolidating lasting peace on the island and strengthening trust between the two communities.”

Applications for the Stelios Bi-Communal Business Awards 2023 can be submitted until Friday, January 27.

Interested groups can apply on the foundations’ website and download the application form, which once completed should be sent by email to Marios Missirlis at [email protected].
