Man wanted for car arson in Peyia

Police in Paphos are investigating a case of arson of a vehicle in Peyia and a suspect is wanted in connection with the case.

According to a police statement, the vehicle was set on fire last Friday at 11:30pm.

The vehicle, valued at €40,000, is owned by a 31-year-old man who is serving a prison sentence.

The car was parked in the parking lot of the apartment building where the complainant lived and was completely destroyed by the fire.

Police and fire department examinations determined the fire was set maliciously.

An arrest warrant has been issued against a 38-year-old man.
