Opening of Varosha turning point in Turkish history – Turkish politician

Varosha will soon become one of the most beautiful and sophisticated tourist centres in the world, Justice and Development Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmus said on Monday.

The Turkish politician visited the fenced-off city accompanied by Azeri deputy chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Tahir Bundakov, media in the north reported on Monday.

Speaking to the media in the north, Kurtulmus said that a dialogue between the three “parties” has been initiated, adding that there is “an unusually nice and perfect relationship between the three countries”.

“I hope that Varosha will soon become one of the most beautiful and sophisticated tourist resorts in the world,” he said, adding that Varosha will become an unusually beautiful destination.

The decision to open Varosha, he said, “is a turning point in the Turkish history of Northern Cyprus”.

Kurtulmus and Budakov were accompanied by the Director General of the EBKAF Ibrahim Bender, the Turkish “ambassador” to the north, Metin Feizioglu, the “supervisor” Tahsin Ertugrologlu, the “minister of interior” Ziyah Oztukler, “Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources” Dursun Oguz, “Mayor” of occupied Famagusta Ismail Arter and “MP” of the occupied city’s “district” Oguzhan Hasipoglu.
