Man arrested for Christmas Day assault over parking space (Update)

A 42-year-old man was taken into custody on Tuesday night in Paphos for assault with grievous bodily harm and threats.

According to the police statement the alleged perpetrator, who had been wanted, was located and arrested around 7 pm in the Geroskipou area.

Police had been seeking the 42-year-old suspect since shortly after midnight on Boxing Day, when the incident was reported by the 24-year-old victim who complained that, following a misunderstanding about a parking space outside his residence, his neighbour attacked and beat him, causing him a nasal fracture, and threatening further harm.
