Nicosia district court on Wednesday remanded a 32-year-old for eight days after he was arrested for possession of 19 kilograms of cannabis and one kilogram of cocaine.

The drugs were found during a raid by the Ykan drug squad in a warehouse belonging to the man, located in a rural area just outside the capital.

Following the arrest, the 32-year-old man’s house was also searched.

Police found an additional small amount of cannabis, a dried cannabis plant, a total of €13,070 and three owls in a cage that were handed to the Game Service.
