Lanes of Makarios Avenue will be closed from January 22 to January 29 as the municipality carries out its annual tree pruning works.

After Makarios Avenue reopened, following its renovation, the only traffic allowed down are buses, taxis, emergency vehicles, and the vehicles of residents or shop owners on the road.

The municipality’s announcement on Tuesday explained that the tree pruning works will be done during the period between 7am-4pm.

They claimed that the works are necessary to improve visibility on the road as concerns traffic and road signs.

Makarios Avenue reopened in its current state in October.
