Police arrested a 22-year-old man, suspected of having stolen a few bicycles in Limassol over the past few days, the authorities said on Wednesday.

According to the police, on Tuesday they received a complaint from a Limassol resident that on January 16 two bikes were stolen from his yard.

A few hours later, one of the bikes was found outside a kiosk in Limassol.

Police arrived at the scene, where they found the bicycle and saw a man trying to ride it. The man was cut off by police and arrested.

Upon questioning the man is alleged to have told police that he took the bicycle.

Police said that the 22-year-old suspect also showed them the location of another two bikes in a field in Limassol.

The one was the resident’s that complained on January 16, while the second was stolen from a different home in Limassol.
