The contract for the Nicosia-Palaichori highway (section of Anayia-Agrokipia) was signed on Wednesday, in a deal set to cost €71.4m to be completed within 42 months.
The project sets out for a four lane highway to include two level roundabouts – at Ergates and Agrokipia – along with three bridges, two underground passes and other key features.
Transport Minister Yiannis Karousos hailed the project as one of the biggest state investments of his term. Cyfield are amongst the contractors for the project.
