Tourist dies from fall at Ayia Napa sea caves

A 49-year-old man died after falling ten metres at the Ayia Napa sea caves, while trying to take pictures, police said on Sunday.

According to police, the man, a tourist here on holiday alone, fell in the evening on Saturday.

Police said that so far, they have not been able to contact the man’s family.

On Saturday, police said that they had received word about the 49-year-old’s body, which was found by the sea caves.

Police arrived at the scene along with the fire services and collected the man’s body, which they have not been able to identify.

Investigations continue on the matter.
