A summer of concerts

It cannot be a proper summer on the island without back-to-back concerts and this year too, musicians from the Greek and Cypriot music scene are planning evenings of live music. Starting from the beginning of May and lasting all summer long, some favourite Greek singers are travelling to the island on their summer tour. Get ready for another summer of concerts.

Fivos Delivorias

Kickstarting the concert series is the renowned Greek songwriter Fivos Delivorias who will hold two concerts in May. First up is a performance at RED Music Stage on Saturday with a fascinating show presenting Delivorias’ latest song releases. The Nicosia concert follows a series of successful sold-out performances in Athens and Thessaloniki with the singer sharing the stage with his collaborators. On the following evening, Delivorias will head to Rialto Theatre for one more Cyprus performance.

Mariza Rizou

Continuing May’s concerts are two performances by the beloved Greek singer Mariza Rizou. Her summer tour begins with a concert at Skali Aglandjias on May 31. The concert will present her fourth and latest album To Xorio along with her timeless hits. Then on June 2, Rizou will entertain Paphos audiences, hosting a concert at Ibrahim’s Khan.

Giannis Kotsiras

As June arrives, Giannis Kotsiras will also present two evenings of live music in Cyprus. His first concert will take place in Nicosia at Skali Aglandjias on June 10, while his second concert will be at the Marios Tokas Municipal Garden Theatre in Limassol on the following evening. The concerts are organized by Alkionides Charity on the occasion of its 25^th anniversary. Accompanying Kotsiras will be a band of musicians and vocalists Myrto Vasileiou and Demetra Mboulouzou presenting a show full of surprises, covers, original songs and beloved compositions.

Panos Mouzourakis

Returning to the island once again is the popular singer-performer Panos Mouzourakis. As part of his summer tour, the Greek singer will hold a special concert at Skali Aglandjias on June 13 performing alongside the 16-year-old Maria Sakellari, winner of The Voice of Greece last year, and from Panos’ team. The June concert will be filled with a mix of nostalgic summer songs, party anthems and romantic ballads in true Mouzourakis style.

Costis Maraveyas

Also back for another year is Costis Maraveyas who in June will present one special evening of music in Nicosia. On June 23, Maraveyas will entertain the crowds at Skali Aglandjias performing original songs and summer melodies that always get audiences singing along.

Antonis Remos

The respected and acclaimed singer Antonis Remos will perform two shows in Larnaca this summer. Along with a band of musicians, Remos will put on a performance filled with favourite songs, covers, his most successful hits and beloved summer tunes. Audiences will be able to enjoy him in two evenings at Pattihio Municipal Theatre Larnaca on June 28 and 29.

Plenty more singers will visit the island throughout the summer to offer some live music entertainment. Natassa Mbofiliou, Dimitra Galani, Eleftheria Arvanitaki and Eleonora Zouganelli have already confirmed summer concerts in Cyprus and soon, more musicians are expected to announce performances filling the island with a sea of live music.
