€400,000 in cash seized from airline passenger in Paphos

Customs agents seized hundreds of thousands of euros from a passenger arriving in Paphos airport on Saturday, authorities said.

According to an announcement from the customs department, agents seized €400,000 from a passenger arriving from Vienna, after the individual failed to declare that he was carrying this amount of money.

Anything over €10,000 must be declared.

The individual was arrested, and the money was seized.

Customs agents are continuing their investigations.
