Police search for jewellery store thieves

Paphos police were on Thursday investigating a €10,000 theft from a jewellery store.

The 34-year-old owner of the store reported to Peyia police at 4.30pm that a white gold necklace was stolen. CCTV footage showed two individuals walking into the store pretending to be customers looking to buy a gift.

One of them appeared to have distracted the employee while another snatched the €10,000 necklace from the shop window.

Pictures of the suspects have been published to try and track them down.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Peyia police station at 26 806360, the closest police station or the citizens line at 1460.
