The Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises (KSEEK-CARIE) and the French Maritime Industry Association (GICAN) this week signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, aiming to strengthen defense and industrial cooperation.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Defence Minister Michalis Giorgalla, Minister of Justice and Public Order Anna Prokopiou, and French Ambassador to Cyprus Salina Grenet-Catalano.

In a press release issued by KSEEK, it was stated that the signing event was graciously hosted by the French Ambassador.

KSEEK expressed gratitude to the Ambassador and also acknowledged the support of French Defence Attaché Arnaud Peyronnet and French Internal Security Attaché Cyril Gamet.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by KSEEK President Tasos Kounoudes and Jean-Marie Dumon on behalf of GICAN, affirming the commitment to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two organisations.

The collaboration between France and Cyprus is focused on fostering innovation, defence, and security cooperation.

The agreement not only bolsters the joint promotion of European projects but also facilitates the exchange of expertise between French and Cypriot SMEs, aiming to develop projects of mutual interest.
