Scrap metal yard robbed, employee assaulted in Paphos

Paphos police on Tuesday are investigating a case of conspiracy to commit a felony, robbery, assault with actual bodily harm, malicious damage and theft.

According to the police, on Tuesday morning the owner of a scrap metal business found his employee, aged 30, bleeding and with his hands tied, within the fenced off area of his premises.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Paphos general hospital, where he received first aid.

According to the 30-year-old victim, around five to six unknown perpetrators breached the main entrance and assaulted him, tied him up, and made off with metal items.

Paphos CID is continuing the investigation.
