Over two dozen third country nationals were returned to their home countries after they were found residing illegally in Cyprus, police said Wednesday.

The 25 people were returned to their home countries on Tuesday.

In a police announcement it is stated that the number of third country nationals repatriated since the beginning of the year, through voluntary and forced return procedures, amounts to 3,320.

Tuesday’s joint flight was carried out by the Greek authorities with the cooperation of the FRONTEX Organisation and the immigration services, and police.
