An autopsy is to be preformed on Wednesday on the body of the four-year-old boy found dead in a swimming pool in Emba.
According to police spokesman and head of CID Michalis Nikolaou, the autopsy will be performed at 11.45 by medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou at the mortuary of the Paphos general hospital.
Nikolaou noted that investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances leading to the death of the child.
The four-year-old boy was found unconscious and taken immediately by his parents to a private doctor in Paphos where he was pronounced dead.
According to the police, it appears the mother noticed her child at around 10.20 am in the communal pool of the apartment complex where the Syrian family lived.
