Six arrested ahead of Ael-Omonia match

Police arrested six individuals on Wednesday attempting to enter the Ael-Omonia football match carrying prohibited items.

According to police, the five of the individuals found to be holding firecrackers and one was found to be carrying brass knuckles.

Police also entered the stands a little before the match began, as some Ael fans made threatening gestures to Omonia fans.

Two of the individuals arrested are underage, police said.
