Larnaca drug bust finds methamphetamine, ecstasy

Police on Thursday arrested a 28-year-old resident of Larnaca for a case under investigation of importation and possession of illegal drugs with intent to supply.

According to police , drug squad officers carried out a search of the suspect’s apartment in the evening and found seven nylon packages containing 14.5g of methamphetamine, a precision scale and 65 pills, believed to be ecstasy, all of which were confiscated.

The man was arrested and is expected to be brought before the Larnaca district court for the issuance of a detention order on Friday.
