Man injured in Paphos crash

A 29-year-old man has been injured in a car crash in the Paphos district on Thursday.

The crash took place between the villages of Ayios Dimitrianos and Kannaviou. The 29-year-old was driving the car and, according to the police, lost control of the vehicle and careered into a ditch.

The driver of the vehicle was trapped in his car following the crash, with the fire brigade called in to free him from the wreck. He was subsequently transferred to the Paphos general hospital.

The passenger, a 59-year-old woman, was uninjured.
