Minor caught wrong-way driving in Paphos

Police Car 03

A minor was found driving on the opposite side of the road facing oncoming traffic in Paphos, police said on Saturday.

Officers spotted the minor around 3am on Saturday and signaled him to stop, but he ignored police’s signal and kept driving against the direction of traffic.

Since he is underage, he was driving without a licence or insurance.

Police said he was later taken to the Paphos central police station where officers called his dad.

Paphos police reported 16 traffic violations in the past 24 hours, five of which concerned drink driving and one driving under the influence of drugs.
