Paphos police on Friday arrested a hotel employee on suspicion of stealing over €2,000 from guests’ rooms.

The 20-year-old man was detained after police secured testimony against him.

He is being investigated in connection with three different thefts reported from different hotel guests on September 8, 18 and 20. The total amount of money stolen was reported at €2,000 and £230.

Police said that during their examinations at the scene, there was no violated windows or doors.

Hence, authorities estimate the employee entered the rooms using the master key.
