Forest fire in Kambia brought under control

A forest fire was brought under full control at 8.15am on Monday in the “Alakati” location of Kambia community in Nicosia.

According to a statement from the forestry department, the fire, which broke out at 7.45am burned an area of ​​3,000m2 of wild vegetation.

A total of 21 people from the forestry department with seven fire trucks and one tanker truck participated in the extinguishing operation.

The exact cause of the fire is being investigated.
