A 25-year-old man was hospitalised in critical condition at Nicosia General Hospital on Sunday after falling from the roof of the warehouse where he was working in Limassol.

Police said the man fell from a height of about 7.5 metres and suffered a head injury on Saturday afternoon.

He was initially transferred to the Limassol general hospital, but due to the seriousness of his condition he was transferred to the capital.

The circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.

However, police said that during examinations, testimony emerged against two people who were allegedly employing the young man illegally.
