Siblings allegedly assaulted by masked individuals in Larnaca

Two underage siblings allegedly were allegedly assaulted by five masked individuals with blunt objects on Wednesday night in Larnaca.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, (CNA) the two siblings, aged 16 and 13, told the police that around 8pm on Wednesday they were approached by five individuals in a car near the Vergina High School.

They told the police they were wearing masks and carrying bats and sticks. The masked individuals reportedly inquired what football team the two siblings supported.

When they refused to respond, the five got out of their vehicle and began assaulting them. The minors were taken to Larnaca general hospital, where they received first aid.

The case is being investigated by the Larnaca minor offenses department, examinations using closed-circuit surveillance systems to trace the vehicle are being carried out.
