There’s plenty to look forward to this weekend as Nicosia will burst with festive events including one that brings together arts and crafts, good food and good music.

Since the first event in October, the Misfit Sundays parties at Misfit Union in Engomi have been the new exciting way to spend Sunday afternoons in the capital. A special Christmas fair by one of Nicosia’s popular healthy street food restaurants will be set up this Sunday, inviting guests of all ages for some artsy festive fun.

An alternative Christmas market will operate from 12pm to 8pm hosting more than 20 local vendors, bringing some of the best artists, makers and vintage sellers to the industrial neighbourhood of Engomi. While the Christmas event runs, visitors will be able to buy artisan Christmas gifts, and enjoy delicious street food and warm mulled wine while grooving to the sounds of a live DJ. On the decks, DJ Marcos will play groovy, uplifting tunes that will put shoppers and vendors in a good mood.

The event promises to have something for all tastes and everyone is welcome – even pets. There will be kids’ activities as well as popular ping pong and arcade games to add to the fun of the day. Lastly, the event also supports the Cyprus Refugee Council through donations and by hosting African artisan sellers with their handmade products.
