Arrest after drugs found in car

A 22-year-old man has been arrested for possession of cannabis with intent to sell, police said on Wednesday.

The arrest was made during a routine traffic stop in Limassol.

A search of the suspect’s vehicle uncovered 72 grammes of cannabis, five grammes of cocaine, a precision scale and a sum of money, police said.

Following his written consent, a search was subsequently conducted at the suspect’s home, where a sum of money was found and confiscated, while a second car owned by the suspect was also searched, where a quantity of cannabis weighing 326 grammes was found as well as a precision scale, police said.
