Three arrested for drug trafficking in Larnaca

Police on Wednesday arrested three people in Larnaca suspected after they were caught driving with cocaine and cannabis in their vehicle.

According to the police, the men, aged 19, 22, were arrested on the spot for evident offenses after 256g of cocaine and 10g of cannabis were found in their possession.

Members of the drug squad (Ykan) stopped the car, driven by the 23-year-old,  around 3.30pm near the KaloChorio roundabout and in a subsequent search found the drugs in plastic packages.

During follow-up investigations, a further 38g of cocaine were found at the 23-year-old’s residence, as well as a small amount of methamphetamine, weighing two grams.

The men were arrested and taken into custody while the investigation continues.
